POWTRAN brake unit mainly used in frequency inverter emergency slow down, brakes, positioning of the occasion. Inverter in slow down, because the relationship between load inertia, the kinetic energy change into electrical energy and stored in the DC bus when emergency slow down occurs. Braking unit can be used to consume the regenerative voltage, otherwise frequency converter will not jump over-voltage protection or failure.
